Copper is a Survivor

Copper surfaced again, yesterday morning.

Copper surfaced after missing for almost two weeks.

He went missing July 4th, then was spotted last Sunday, July 17. He was in really poor shape and had a severe injury to one of his front legs. He now has only one good leg. But, he's a survivor.

His latest appearance gives us hope. He seems to have improved since last Sunday. He's eating and staying in the Village. He seems to want to hide within the Village as he is comforted by his friend Socks.

We're feeding Copper a high nutrient diet of wet and dry food made by Solid Gold, hoping it helps him heal.

In the meantime, we have placed a trail camera in the Village to get better idea of how he's healing.

Copper surfaced yesterday and appeared to be improving.

To some, it may seem that our caring actions should include trapping Copper so he can receive veterinary care, but we don't think so. In the process he could exacerbate his condition.

Based on his March accident and subsequent injuries, he recovered and lived fully. We're hoping for the same results this time too.

Copper likes to hide as he heals.
